How to Automate Crypto Signals With Cornix

Setup in about twenty minutes: connect your exchange, follow the channel, set the amount per trade, and every signal executes with its stop and targets while you sleep.

In shortUpdated October 2026

Cornix is a Telegram trading bot that reads signals from a channel and places the entry, take-profit targets and stop loss on your exchange account through an API key with trade-only permission. Setup takes about twenty minutes: create a Cornix account, connect the exchange, follow the signal channel, set the amount per trade, and switch on auto-follow.

What Cornix does, and what it does not

Cornix sits between a Telegram signal channel and your exchange. When a signal is posted, the bot parses it (pair, direction, leverage, entry zone, targets, stop) and places the orders on your account. When a target is hit it closes that part of the position and, if configured, moves the stop to break-even. You keep custody of your funds on the exchange; Cornix only holds an API key that can trade and cannot withdraw. It does not pick trades, size your risk for you, or protect you from a bad signal provider.

Before you start

  • A funded futures account on a supported exchange. OnwardBTC members use Bybit, Bitget or OKX, the same accounts that fund the free month.
  • Access to a Cornix-enabled signal channel. OnwardBTC's member channel is one; the link arrives after the 30-day free access is activated.
  • A decision on risk per trade. 1 to 2% of the account is the rule we use; the position sizing guide explains why.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Create the Cornix account. Open dashboard.cornix.io, sign in with Telegram. The 14-day trial needs no card.
  2. Create an API key on your exchange. In the exchange's API settings, create a key with trade permission only. Never enable withdrawals. Bybit and Bitget let you restrict the key to futures; do that.
  3. Connect the exchange in Cornix. Dashboard → Exchanges → Add → paste key and secret. Cornix confirms the balance it can see.
  4. Follow the signal channel. In Cornix, Channels → the channel you are a member of → Follow. For OnwardBTC this is the member channel, not the public one.
  5. Set the client configuration. Amount per trade (fixed USDT or a percentage of the account), leverage handling (use the leverage stated in the signal), stop loss (take from the signal), take-profit distribution (equal parts across targets is the default), and "move stop to break-even after target 1" if you want it.
  6. Switch on auto-follow. Until you do, Cornix sends each signal as a preview and waits for your tap. With auto-follow, every signal executes immediately.
  7. Test with the smallest amount. Let two or three signals run at minimum size, check the orders on the exchange, then raise the amount to your real risk level.

Settings that matter most

LeverageAs stated in the signal, never higherOnwardBTC signals cap leverage so liquidation stays far from the stop.
Stop lossFrom the signal, always onA trade without a stop is the one that ends the account.

Free plan or paid plan?

After the 14-day trial of the Premium plan, Cornix continues on a limited free plan that runs only a few trades at a time. Following every OnwardBTC signal needs the Advanced plan at 32.99 USD a month, paid to Cornix, not to us. Whether that is worth it depends on account size: the calculation in are crypto signals worth it applies to the bot fee as well. Below roughly 2,000 USD, trading the signals by hand is the cheaper choice; every OnwardBTC signal has entry, targets and stop, so manual execution takes about two minutes.

Common problems

  • "Insufficient balance". The amount per trade is above what the futures wallet holds, or funds sit in the spot wallet. Transfer to the derivatives/futures account.
  • Orders not placed. The API key lacks futures permission or the IP restriction blocks Cornix. Recreate the key with trade permission.
  • Entry missed. Price never returned into the entry zone. That is correct behaviour: a skipped trade is better than a chased one.
  • Different results from the channel. Funding fees, slippage and partial fills differ per account. Small deviations are normal; large ones usually mean a different leverage or entry setting.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cornix safe?

Cornix never holds your funds. It trades through an API key you create; give the key trade permission only and no withdrawal rights, and the worst case is a bad trade, not a stolen balance.

Does Cornix work with Bybit, Bitget and OKX?

Yes. Cornix lists Binance, Bybit, MEXC, OKX, Bitget, KuCoin, BingX, Blofin, Hyperliquid, Coinbase, Kraken and Huobi as supported exchanges.

Can I follow OnwardBTC signals without Cornix?

Yes. Every signal carries entry zone, targets and stop, so you can place the orders yourself in about two minutes. Cornix adds convenience, not a different result.

How much does Cornix cost?

A 14-day free trial without a card, then 32.99 USD a month for Advanced or 52.99 USD for Premium, paid to Cornix.

Try it with real signals, no card. OnwardBTC's first 30 days are free through an exchange account, and the member channel is Cornix-ready from the first signal. Start here.
